January 2024 NCA News

Happy New Year!

I will admit that winter is not my favorite time of year. The days are shorter, the weather is often uncooperative, and, at my stage in life, I think that any temperature below my age is too cold. But as we turn the calendar and start the new year, something feels a little different to me. No, I’m still not happy that the sun will only make limited appearances until May in my part of the world, but I’m feeling something more than the traditional winter “blahs.” This year, I’m feeling excitement in the blustery, seasonal air.

The team here at the National Celiac Association has been working hard behind the scenes to put together a new vision and business plan for 2024 and beyond. This plan allows us to continue to be the voice for our celiac and gluten-free community and provides us opportunities to bring you more information and resources on topics that are relevant to you. From food insecurity to mental wellness, NCA has aligned our vision with the needs of our community, which is defined by more than just food labels and restaurant menus.

Our excitement to help you carries into this edition of NCA News. We are happy to announce our continued partnership with the Harvard Medical School Celiac Education & Research Program and our next All Things Celiac webinar in February. Also, the latest edition of our Gluten-Free Nation magazine will be arriving in mailboxes soon. If you don’t already have a subscription, click here to sign up today.

We appreciate your support and we are thrilled that you have included us as part of your personal journey. Stay warm and have a great start to the new year!

Stronger together,

Chris Rich, Executive Director and CEO
