French Toast Casserole
This is decadent, delicious, and a dream to make! Caution, not good to eat when on a diet!
Praline Topping
  1. Arrange Challah bread slices in a buttered 9”x13” baking dish in 2 rows overlapping slices.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, half & half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt and beat with a whisk until blended but not to bubbly.
  3. Pour the mixture over the bread slices, making sure they are covered evenly with the milk-egg mixture. Spoon some of the mixture in between the slices. Cover with foil and refrigerate over night.
  4. The next day, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  5. Combine all ingredients for Praline Topping. Spread topping evenly over the bread and bake for 40 minutes until puffed and lightly golden. Serve with maple syrup.
